about

These tracks were recorded in November 2021, upon my return from Rome, a trip that I had made in order to scatter my mother's ashes.

I cannot say that I believe in souls, though I do believe in the life of the mind, therefore in spirits.
But what does it mean to let go of someone ? What is it exactly that we let go of and what is it that we keep ?
And that which we let go of, where does it go ?
Such are the questions that permeated the soil in which this music has germinated.

A sonic voyage of the dead called for navigating between opposite worlds, by superimposing the voices of the deceased and the mourner, by employing tonal and micro-tonal vocabulary with both descriptive and abstract approaches, amidst "natural" and "unnatural" acoustic phenomena.....

On a more technical note, this music was born out of my early experiments with two Serge CGS panels that I've recently acquired.
I added elements from other modular and hardwired synths, more oscillators here, additional filters there, for polyphonic pads and such...
But at its core it's all Serge. And electric guitar.
